Mikawa Nagura 001

Mikawa Nagura are highly prized by tool and sword makers as part of the natural polishing progression. Mined in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan, we've found these are very useful for polishing and edge sharpening on kitchen tools. These stones have a remarkably consistent particle size that provides a silky smooth even scratch pattern. The edges that are produced have a nice balance of bite while still maintaining nice refinement.

Natural stones may contain small irregularities or imperfections. They should never be fully soaked and only splashed with water on the cutting surface. We recommend sealing the stone to protect from cracking and wear over time.
