Katsushige Anryu is a fourth generation blacksmith from Takefu. He trained under his father Katsutoshi Anryu and has been making blades for over 50 years. 

His Hammered Kurouchi line is forged from aogami super steel, wrapped in a stainless cladding. These knives sharpen very easily and have superb edge retention. This line from Anryu San is exceptional build and steel quality for the price. Fitted with a rosewood and pakka octagonal handle.
