Katsushige Anryu AS Petty 130mm

Katsushige Anryu is a fourth generation blacksmith from Takefu. He trained under his father Katsutoshi Anryu and has been making blades for over 50 years. This series is made with help from Anryu's nephew, blacksmith Takumi Ikeda.

His Hammered Kurouchi line is forged from aogami super steel, wrapped in a stainless cladding. These knives sharpen very easily and have superb edge retention. I have found that these knives have very consistent grinds and great fit and finish. Fitted with a maple and pakka octagonal handle.
