Forged in Sakai by Master Itsuo Doi using superb heat treatment and traditional techniques. Cold hammering techniques are still practiced at the Sakai Takayuki company. This strengthens and tightens the steel structure creating a tougher steel with better edge formation. The Aonikou line is forged with blue #2 steel rated at 64 HRC. The handle is ebony with horn ferrule octagonal.
