Robert Trimarchi ,The Nine, is a traditional focused bladesmith working out of Melbourne, Australia. Forging is the primary focus in Roberts workshop which leads to his natural and ever evolving style. Working along side other creatives in a co- op warehouse, he utilizes reclaimed materials to make san mai and pattern welded blades.
This blade was forged from Aogami 2 carbon core steel and hand laminated in soft iron The final geometry and kasumi finish of the blade was finished by Australian based sharpener Lee Chew with a progression of Japanese natural stones. The blade has a nice reflectivity while still showing every contrasting detail. The Handle is a hybrid western made from bog oak.
