The Takamura Chromax Nashiji series is a great display of affordable high quality blades. These knives are forged from chromax steel and wrapped in a stainless clad. Chromax steel is a high carbon known for taking a very sharp edge and holding it for a long time. The details and finish on all of Takamura sans blades are very clean. Very thin "laser" style grind that has amazing cutting feel. Handle is western brown pakka wood.
