Kawamura Hamono was founded in 1926 in Sakai. Kikumori is praised for their beautiful craftsmanship utilizing traditional techniques specific to their region. Sakai Kikumori Kikuzuki is made from Shirogami #2 steel core and cladded in iron forgedby master Yoshikazu Tanaka. The top of the bladeis left with a natural Kurouchi finish from the blacksmith. The mono octagonal handle is Japanese lacquered Oak wood.
