Before You Buy
Japanese knives are crafted by hand and have slight variances and imperfections. If you have any questions before your purchase, please email us at info@carbonknifeco.com. We will try our best to accommodate you.
Shipping & Delivery
We are able to help with packages that aren't yet marked as delivered. If a package has been scanned as delivered, we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We recommend using Re-Do INSURANCE to avoid lost/stolen packages.
International Customs, Duties & Taxes
International customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Duties and GST/VAT taxes differ by country.
Please note that taxes are the customer's responsibility after purchase.
If you refuse to pay taxes and the package is "returned to sender," this imposes extra tariffs on our business, and we cannot issue a full refund.
Please check your local customs and duties office for specific tax rates.

Knife Care & Proper Use
Japanese knives are prized for their thin blades, sharp edges, and excellent edge retention. Because the steel is thinner and harder than a typical Western knife, it needs careful handling.
To avoid chipping, cracking, or other damage, please do not use your knife on:
- Bones
- Frozen or partially frozen foods
- Hard cheeses (such as parmesan)
- Hard or dense vegetables and produce, including corn cobs and winter squash
- Any other hard or dense food, not limited.
