This series is made from SPG Strix laminated in soft stainleess rated at 63hrc. SPG Strix is a newer steel from Takefu steel that was made to be similar to SG2 but increased sharpenability and wear resistance. The blade face has a V shaped tsuchime pattern to relieve surface tension and increase food release. These blades are lightweight and very performance focused. The blade is fit with an octagonal rosewood and maple ferrule.
