"For clean, effortless cuts, the 4050-02 Meatcrafter® is your go-to knife for precision processing in the field and portioning, deboning, and trimming your favorite cuts in the kitchen. Thanks to our proprietary SelectEdge® technology, the upswept 6” trailing point blade delivers exceptional push-cut performance, while its engineered blade flex allows for greater control while deboning or filleting. The 4050-02 Meatcrafter® variant features a CPM-154 blade with a stonewash finish, a maple valley Richlite handle, and a black G10 bolster accented with a gold ring. Over time, Richlite®, a paper composite material, will develop a natural patina over time, altering the original color of the material. "Patina” is a natural occurrence in the product that can either darken or lighten depending on exposure to light."

Proper care and regular maintenance help make your Benchmade knife yours, for life. Here are some tips for keeping your Benchmade in peak condition:

• All steel, regardless of price and grade, can eventually rust, so it’s important to keep your knife dry and lubricated. If spotting or rust occurs, semi-chrome metal polish will often take care of it.

• Dishwashers can cause serious damage that is not covered under our warranty, so make sure to hand-wash your Benchmade under warm water with dish soap only, and dry thoroughly.

• Remember, knives are cutting tools, and you should never use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel, or punch, unless the knife is designed explicitly for those purposes.

• If you choose to sharpen your blade yourself, avoid grinding wheels and other high-powered machinery.
