Jiro

Jiro Nakagawa is a traditional focused blacksmith who works alone based in Nagano Japan. Every part of the process is as handmade as possible from laminating the steel to hand crafting the handle. He favors to use Shirogami #1 high carbon steel for its superior sharpness, all hand laminated in soft iron. All of his blades are finished on stone with kasumi polishing by natural stone. Every blade is unique in its own being numbered accordingly to its production and comes with a hand written certification of its authenticity from Jiro-san.
