Kawamura Hamono was founded in 1926 in Sakai. Kikumori is praised for their beautiful craftsmanship utilizing traditional techniques specific to their region. Sakai Kikumori Gokujou series is forged from Shirogami 2 steel cladded in soft iron by Master Yoshikazu Tanaka. The blade has a hairline migaki finish that is simple, functional and easy to restore after use. This is a great example of a Traditional Sakai made knife with excellent fit and finish. Comes fitted with octagonal hoo wood and buffalo horn ferrule.
