Kawamura Hamono was founded in 1926 in Sakai. Kikumori is praised for their beautiful craftsmanship utilizing traditional techniques specific to their region. Sakai Kikumori Kikuzuki is made from Shirogami #2 steel core and cladded in iron. The geometry of the series is all forged in by the blacksmith, leaving the top of the blade with a light nashiji pattern. The handle is octagonal hoo wood with horn ferrule.
