Elijah Durso-Sabina (Definition Forge) is a local Colorado maker who focuses on hand forged kitchen tools. Elijah is professionally a researcher in quantum error correction by day and tool maker after hours. He has been coming into our shop over the years sharing his creations, it's been a joy to see the evolution of his work over time.
This blade is hand laminated from CPM 1V core steel laminated in 304 Stainless steel heat treated to 64hrc. CPM 1V is a high durability tool steel with a fine carbide structure and solid wear resistance. This blade has a medium/ heavy feel, with extreme distal taper. The blade has been lightly etched with remaining texture from the forging process on the top. Fitted with a burmese rosewood handle.
