The Ryusen Ryu Wa series is made using high performance SG2 steel laminated in soft stainless. SG2 (Super Gold II) Is known for its high corrosion resistance, long edge life, and sharpness comparable to purer carbon steels. The blade is finished with a hammered texture which allows for better food separation and reduces stickage. The handle is made from walnut with octagonal and tapered sides that fits amazingly in hand.
