Literally meaning “sprinkles”, furikake is Japanese savory flakes commonly used as a topping over rice. Shiso furikake is one of the most popular kinds thanks to shiso leaf’s refreshing aroma, beautiful color, and high nutritional value. Fukami’s Organic Shiso Furikake is made using red shiso organically grown in Wakayama Prefecture and umesu, a byproduct of making umeboshi, salt-cured “ume” plum. No additives and MSG are used. Just sprinkle it over rice, rice balls, tofu, salad, mozzarella, baked potato, or tempura, to add a sensational kick.

Made by Fukami
Fukami is a fourth-generation family business growing and manufacturing ume plum products since 1940.
The Fukami family have committed themselves to growing organic Nanko ume, the highest-regard variety of ume, in their own farms without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Due to limited yields of this premium variety, the Nanko ume are harvested in extremely small batches.
