Forged in Sakai by Master Itsuo Doi from Aogami #2 steel. Doi Sans work showcases superb heat treatment and traditional techniques. Cold hammering techniques are still practiced at the Sakai Takayuki company that strengthens and tightens the steel structure. Genbu series sakimaru is a wide style sakimaru that is slightly heavier weight. The blade face is finished in a mirror polish. Comes with an ebony octagonal handle and matching black lacquered saya included.
