Shigehiro knives are forged by Yoshikazu Ikeda and sharpened by Kasahara, made in Sakai. Forged from shirogami #2 steel rated at 62-63hrc and cladded in iron. These have a very unique finishing process creating a cloudy cladding. The spine and choil are rounded and polished very nicely. Great workhorse knives that taper nicely and get thin behind the edge. The handle is octagonal hoo wood and marble or blonde buffalo horn ferrule. We're very excited to present these to you.
