Sheffield based bladesmith Simon Maillet works alone making small batch hand forged cutlery with Japanese ethos and sustainability in mind. This blade was hand forged from 135Cr3 hand laminated in wrought iron. The blade face has a light natural texture from the forging process with kurouchi finish. The bevels are hand ground and polished on a progression of natural stones to reveal the details in the iron. The blade is fitted with an octagonal bog oak handle.
