Yu Kurosaki Gekko Petty 130mm

Located in Echizen, Yu Kurosaki forges high performance blades true to the tradition of his region but also incorporating new finishing techniques, creating some of the most unique and beautiful blades available.

His new line Gekko is forged from HAP40 and cladded in soft stainless. HAP40 is a semi stainless steel  that has incredibly long edge life and is very tough despite its hardness (65 HRC). The core steel will form a patina slowly over time. The blade is convexly sharpened with a migaki finish. Fitted with octagonal oak handles.
